Overview
The Glympse PRO Zapier integration allows you to automate task creation from systems like Acuity Scheduling or any app that supports webhooks. This automation lets you take full advantage of Glympse PRO’s capabilities, including sending notifications with live location and ETA updates, and giving you real-time visibility into where your technicians or drivers are, all without manually entering orders into Glympse PRO.
What You Can Do With This Integration
- Automatically create tasks in Glympse PRO
- Trigger actions when an appointment is booked or rescheduled from any system using a JSON webhook payload
- Acuity Scheduling template
- Webhook-based integration
- Support for thousands of apps
Prerequisites
Before getting started, you’ll need:
- Zapier account (Free tier usually works, but webhooks may require paid account)
- Glympse PRO account
- If you don’t already have one, you can sign up here
- Account on the system you want to integrate with
Quick Start
- Log in to Zapier
- Search for Glympse PRO
- Select one of the available templates or create your own
- Acuity Template
- Webhook Template
- Other Zapier Apps → Customers may create any Zap with Glympse PRO
- Connect your Glympse PRO account using your credentials (see here)
- Map task fields (customer name, address, phone, notes, technician assignment, etc.)
- Test the Zap
- Turn it on
Acuity Scheduling Template
Step 1: Set up your Acuity Scheduling Form
- In your Acuity UI, set up your scheduling form
- Make sure Location is enabled
Step 2: Choose the Template
- Select the Acuity -> Glympse template
- This template is set up to retrieve new Acuity scheduled appointments and create them in Glympse
Step 3: Connect Acuity
- Enter your Acuity/Squarespace account credentials
- Select your calendar and product type in the Zap
- Create an appointment in Acuity and then select the Test option in your Zap to make sure the new appointment was found
Step 4: Connect Glympse
- Enter your Glympse account credentials in the Zap.
- Double-check that all required fields were mapped.
- Test the Glympse action, and make sure the new appointment shows in your Glympse PRO console.
Step 5: Publish
Publish your Zap and start using it.
Webhook Template
Any system that can send webhook events can be used to integrate with Glympse PRO using this Zap Template. Note that webhooks may require a Zapier Premium account.
Step 1: Create a Zap from this template
- Copy URL the webhook URL from the “Configure” step
- Use this URL to set up your system to send new appointments to it
Step 2: Test the webhook
- Create an appointment in your system so it sends it to the webhook you set up
- Select the test option in the webhook trigger in your Zap
- Make sure the test record is found and has the required data
Step 3: Modify the data
Your system’s webhook may send data in a variety of formats. You must make sure that correct data conversion happens (likely by using the Formatter Action by Zapier) to get the data into formats Glympse PRO expects. The appointment time must be in ISO 8601 format (ie. “2025-01-01T00:00:00Z”). This template has an example formatter and field mapping already set up, but you will likely need to change it to fit your data.
Step 4: Connect your Glympse PRO account
- Create a new connection for your Glympse PRO account in the Glympse PRO action
- Enter your Glympse PRO credentials
Step 4: Map webhook fields to Glympse PRO fields
- Make sure the required Glympse PRO fields are mapped
- These may come from your original webhook action, or other formatting actions you may have set up
- Note that you can map multiple fields from prior actions to the same Glympse PRO field. For example, if you have multiple address fields, you can map them to the single Glympse Pro address field, separated by spaces.
Step 4: Testing
- Test the action, and make sure the new appointment shows up in your Glympse PRO Console
- If there is an error, inspect the error message. It might be a missing required field, or you may see “invalid_arguments” if there is bad data in a field. If you run into issues troubleshooting your Zap, contact support for Glympse PRO.
Best Practices
This is very helpful to customers:
- Use ISO timestamps (
YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM:SSZ) - If you don’t provide an address, GPS navigation won’t work
- Use filters in Zapier to avoid creating duplicate tasks
